Dr. Kyonghun Chong PT DPT is a New York, Pennsylvania, and Georgia licensed Physical Therapist. He received his Physical Therapy degree at Dongnam Health University in 2005. He completed his Transitional Doctoral Degree program at the College of Saint Scholastica where he earned Clinical Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy in 2017. He is a Certified Dry Needling through the West Point Sport Physical Therapy Education Program in 2015, and Personalized Blood Flow Restriction Rehabilitation through the Owens Recovery Science in 2018.
Dr. Chong has over 15 years of clinical experience in soft tissue/joint manual mobilization, dry needling, general orthopedics, sports PT, before or after surgery care, pain management, and therapeutic exercise. He worked at a US Army, Camp Humphreys, Physical Therapy Clinic from 2009 to 2019 to treat dedicated soldiers and their family members. He works with patients of all ages and conditioning levels.
Dr. Chong assesses and treats whole body structural alignment and its dysfunctions which influences overall body balances and the tissue tension throughout daily movements. His philosophy in therapy is to design his therapeutic program for each person for their specific circumstances to maximize the effectiveness. Based on the assessment, he prescribes therapeutic exercises or manual therapy for each patient to improve structural dysfunction, joint mobility, and muscular balance and stability.
